Decided to do a tribute to some classic Adam Strange, because I absolutely love him.

He’s not featured a lot, and his old stories are beyond cheesy… but a sweet kind of cheesy.

I took some liberties with Alanna since Rannians always bother me that the only difference between them and humans was that their men were bald. I just love these two so much, they’re one of my favorite married couples. Actually, for the new 52, I sorta would have loved a new ‘Mysteries in Space’ series…

Uh, I don’t usually do bandwagons but I had an idea and my art block actually lifted and stuff… ;w;

I dunno, more experimenting with lineless. Gosh I’m really not good with this kind of stuff. I admire people who can do this all the time.

So uh….. this really cool dude named n8 that I’ve been stalking watching admiring from afar since I got into the Riddler community is super cool and has really cool characters and GOSH.

I could like talk forever about his style, how much I love it, how cool it is. His style is like everything I wish I could do for wonky, psychedelic art he’s just so GREAT like gosh. I tried to do something like he does with his style here and I just wanted to do a cool picture of Madras and AUGH I just admire N8 so much because he’s great and nice and smart and stuff and he’s just this amazing illustrator.

He’s just so cool.

I played with the sharpness and contrast a lot in Preview and I actually sorta like this ;;;;w;;;; sob

I’ve had this in my mind for a while now, the situation changed a few times, but it stayed basic in principal. With this Zsasz picture, the idea finally cemented in my mind. This is who Lizzy is as a character, a different side than you normally see. She is sweet and curious and adventurous, a little obnoxious and vain like her father, but at the same time, she stays in the grey area. She knows what’s right and wrong, but she’s not about to let you fuck with anyone she cares about. She’s been raised in environment of violence, and while she does not encourage pointless violence and crime, she does see fit to ‘get even.’ It’s perfectly morale in her mind. And this line, the grey area, is where she stays.

That being said, god this comic is done why did I spend a week on it. I’m going to go…. clean my room… or something.

I would say monster boys, but there is one girl among them and I rather not exclude her u____u

Now as I said earlier today, there have been a lot of cool, wicked, awesome characters on my dash lately thanks to Bia and Bomb and Mango, and basically made my brain do this: “Hey! Hey Yurble! Remember that phaaaaase from three years agoooooooo where you made slightly deformed characterssssssssss. You should draw themmmmmmm. Do itttttttttttttttt.”

 And I did. Basically, here it the formula for Yurble brand creativity:

1. Cut off limbs
2. Add tentacles
3. ????
4. PROFIT

Yup. No creativity whatsoever.

Got bored at one point and made a few ‘monsters’ which aren’t really that by idk. They are my bbys and I’m sticking to that uwu

Lyam, who I changed a bit from his original incarnation, but something about stomach-mouths always enticed me. I actually let him keep one arm owo

Florence, the boy bird cage. He’s a playful mute, his hands and feet are cut off, and he could literally be blown away by the wind. He weighs like nothing uwu his bird is named Gigi.

Hyde, a sad winged serpent with his mouth sewn shut. He’s actually quite vicious, which is why his teeth and hunger are sewn away. He’s also mostly deaf.

Desmonia, my adorable baby girl uwu she’s so beautiful. A bitey little thing :y

India completely made from a gelatinous, inky substance, he’s not usually able to keep much form, not that he cares to.

Viti who constantly claims he used to be a god. I couldn’t portray it right, but his legs are cut off from the base about. Pretty laid back, but prideful.

Mihail, which didn’t come out as right as I want. I sorta rushed with him and forgot his tentacle-tongue and I think his hair turns into Medusa snakes. I don’t quite remember.

So, once upon a time, Yurble wanted to make a story that would be suitable for kids as a lesbian princess story. I usually refer to these two as my ‘disney lesbians,’ since that’s basically what I’m going for with their story.

These two actually went through quite a few designs.

Their story is really messy though, I have a basic frame of events that have happened, but I haven’t made any other characters or expanded on situations where their characters were grow.

Basically Princess Emma is an airhead, not always ‘there,’ and adventurous. Her kingdom is having a ‘mild disagreement’ with a neighboring country, which might mean going to war. Rebels kidnap her, and Sir Charles goes after her, fighting flights of rebels to get to the princess, who she has a crush on. Only Emma doesn’t know Charles’ identity; no one really does, despite her being the finest knight of the kingdom. Once she’s rescued, Emma insists they go to the other kingdom and talk things out. “It will be easy! We’re already halfway there!” Emma doesn’t understand ‘no’ and Charlie follows her to make sure she stays out of danger, and somehow convince her to just come back to the kingdom. Back to her home kingdom…

And there’s adventure! Sword fights! Slowly budding romance~!
